Getting to and from a doctor’s appointment is a major hassle for many. But for some, this may soon change for the better due to a partnership between the ridesharing app Lyft and a blockchain startup Solve.Care.
Solve.Care is an Estonia-based blockchain platform that deals with healthcare administration and healthcare access services for both, users and insurers.
The partnership between Solve.Care and Lyft will help users to book rides to doctors’ appointments, pharmacies, hospitals etc. The payments will be automated and processed via a native utility token SOLVE using Solve.Care cryptocurrency wallet – the Care.Wallet.
“Solve.Care is continuously working to offer better access to medical care. By partnering with Lyft, our platform will provide a more efficient and seamless experience for patients and enable payers, employers, and other agencies to improve patient satisfaction through timely access to care, reduced wait times, and simpler cost-sharing and access to transportation subsidies,” – Pradeep Goel, Solve.Care CEO
Care.Wallet users will be able to share the ride costs with their family members, employers, insurers etc.
“The innovative use of Blockchain by the Solve.Care platform allows for configuration of patient centric care administration networks that allow participation based on disease conditions, economic and social needs, employment, and other eligibility criteria.” – Solve.Care explained in a press release.
