The cryptocurrency mass adoption is coming sooner or later. We are definitely fans of the “sooner” part, so we’re always happy to hear of any initiatives, which help with reaching fresh ears.
It seems that Germany’s second largest stock exchange did just that. The Boerse Stuttgart Group has launched its crypto-trading app – Bison. This is great news, as it means that many of the exchange’s existing clients may now hear of cryptocurrency and be inclined to use this new option. It will be provided by an exchange they already know and trust, so this seems like a very good idea for all involved parties.
From the app’s website, we can learn that it was developed by FinTech Sowa Labs, Boerse Stuttgart Digital Ventures’ subsidiary. Their aim was to create an app that is easy to use for investors that are used to traditional markets.
At first, Bison will only be available in Germany and only between 06:00 and 12:00 CET. This will eventually be extended to 24 hours per day as the stock exchange clarified.
At this moment, the app allows fee-of-charge trading of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and Ripple (XRP).
At some point in late 2019, support for other European countries will be added. More cryptocurrencies will be also supported in the future.
