Japanese communication and information technology giant Fujitsu will open an international Blockchain Innovation Center in Europe. The goal is to explore potential applications of the technology.
The center will be located in Brussels, Belgium. It will research and develop Blockchain-based technology in various sectors.
“This is just the beginning, as we intend to explore the wider potential use of blockchain in a variety of commercial areas,”
Yves de Beauregard of Fujitsu Benelux has said and explained that there is a growing interest in Blockchain technology among customers.
Fujitsu selected Brussels as the location for their Blockchain Innovation Center due to its “geographical, political, technological and linguistic advantages for international organizations that are considering applications of blockchain technology.”.
